Literally and metaphorically! In the mountains, by the sea, backpacking and boating...AND giving voice to wild animals and their stories--and so much more. I love seeing what this beautiful instrument and its creative caretaker/partner can do.
I do experience nature as movement and often feel when I look animals in the eye they are with me totally. I have alway spoken to plant life, and feel protected and willing to protect. The wind is music to me, clouds and trees cover me with protection. And I them. Pruning is a conversation each time. I never transplant, prune or adjust without a conversation. I am so grateful for my PA yard although in AZ I had the same feeling for even sharp cactus.
Wonderful article and fascinating description of her work. I personally have been told I don't hear music, rhythms like others do. Yet when I dance I see colors, feel vibrations and hear the rhythms of my environment. When in nature, seeing and animal in the wild or even captivity (zoo) I feel and experience a bond.
Altea Narici, Thank you. Your story, with all the bridges you have created is so important and inspiring for our world today and for me.
My thoughts exactly! The power of music and collaboration, of listening, of story. So much here to be inspired by.
I love how you take the cello into cool, uncharted territories!

Amazing! I love that description of how it feels to you to dance. Do you experience animals and other parts of nature in that way also?
